I hope that you like my little pictures.   I am not an artist.  I think of my pictures as illustrations rather than as art.  My pictures have been described as ‘naive art’: unsophisticated, innocent, child-like, often using inappropriately bright colours.  I think I like that; it makes me feel happy.  I combine an odd variety of techniques and media:  I draw, use watercolour paints and pencils, pencil crayons, a scanner, a graphics tablet, and a variety of computer programs.  I use old photos and personal memories for inspiration.  I try to mix in some happiness, humour, romance, nostalgia, a heap of quirkiness, and perhaps sometimes even a hint of sadness.  I hope that my little pictures will make people remember and smile.
